Grab bag gift!

For my family's grab bag this year, I made a little riddle to go along with my present.


This is the box, the right side lid's edge got torn, which I think makes it look like the box could be a decoy, or I'm a careless nutbrain :)


The full riddle reads:
"In this box you'll find a token
Worthy gift or gag unspoken?
Be wary when you choose
Are my contents a shame to lose?
Now my packing...a red herring?
Or something you'll soon be wearing?
There's only one way to find out
(No need to shout)
I'm yours now, you see
Go ahead, open me!"
