A Tale of Woe
Feb. 18th, 2003 08:35 pmLet me all tell you a little story...
For some while now, Tegan had wanted a pair of red trousers, the lovely type that has big flares, and are tight on the bottom.
SO, Tegan and her friends decided to go to Camden in London to look for some. The first shop she went in, she saw the exact thing she was looking for. She rushed to try the on, but alas...they didn't fit. She went into the next shop, and saw some similar ones, bat once again, they didn't fit.
Tegan was baffled. It was fair to say that she was a big girl, (size 16/18 in UK sizes), but she was by no means fat. There was not a shop in the whole of Camden (or London, for that matter,) that stocked what she wanted.
Tegan felt cheated. She began to cry on the train, and her friends comforted her as best they could, but nobody could really help. Big people are obviously not allowed to wear bright clothes.
Unfortunately, I am the Tegan in question. I am sick to death of having to apologise for the size of my ass, the fluff (its not fat) on my belly, and the fact that I'm actually happy with who I am. I will not tolerate this from shops; I had enough of being bullied while I was at school. I will not put up with it now.
So, my lovely girlies and bois...I am looking for a pattern for some trousers with big flares that will be a nice fit on a beautifully curvy lass. I'm also having trouble finding a suitable material that is a funky red, so if you know any trustworthy sites or shops near London, I'd be forever in your debt. THis would really make me happy, and I also know that you are the best people to ask.
Thankyou!
P.S : One last thing...if they do not have ot in your size, politely ask why. Things can be changed if we all use our consumer power, and I am fairly certain that I am not the only person this has happened to. Thanks again. xxx
