homemade paper

are there any tricks to keep the pulp from parting after its drained and set out to dry, as the paper? I just did my first batch of test paper and I rolled out and put books on it, but it looks like it might not stick together very well so maybe theres another step i need to do to get the paper to form properly? any ideas.

I read through the memories but didnt really see anything.
