My Crafty Christmas Gifts
Dec. 27th, 2006 12:33 amThese are things I made that I gave out this christmas.
I love this frog mold. It works for chocolate AND soap!

A headband, a comb decorated with freeform crochet, and a pair of chopstick hairsticks.

I gave away a few pairs of these slippers. I think it's about time to make a pair for myself.

This stenciled hoodie turned out awesome. My first two-color stencil.

A pear apron.

There was also another stenciled t-shirt I forgot to photograph before sending to my friend who practices White Crane Silat, a form of martial arts. It is really cool, too. It is a calligraphic rendering of a crane and I added red chinese characters that said "white crane." They were very intense to cut out. I will ask her for a picture so I can post it.
I also made a really weird thing for my step-grandmother. I am calling it the Pillow Pal and I think she is the only person in the world who would ever have need of one. She takes a pillow with her wherever she goes and carries it in a grocery store bag. So I made this get-up that she can slip onto the pillow to give the pillow a strap so she can carry it like a purse. I don't know if she will use it or not, but, it's the thought that counts, right?
Belated Merry Christmas, everyone! And Happy New Year!
