Photographs in art
Dec. 29th, 2006 11:11 pmI made a post a while back about using my photography in my crafts. I decided to start easy with some pendants which use my photographs printed out on transparent paper.

The original photographs can be seen here, here, here, and here. The frames themselves are very tiny, under an inch on the longest side. The photographs are very detailed and are of geisha that I took while they were performing in Kyoto.
I apologize that some of the pieces are reversed, oops!

A photograph I took of my best friend and one of our mutual friends (my best friend is the boy). He said it was his favourite so I made him this for a holiday gift! He is supposed to be Pan.

A picture I took of my husband.

An inari mask in Kyoto, Japan.

The gates at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto.

Three Buddha statues. The first is from Japan and the second two are from Thailand.
I purchased the frames already made. Next I am going to try making them myself. The original photographs can be seen at my DeviantArt account. I posted a few others I made up at DA (here and here), but they use "clip art" and not my photographs.
I want to try printing them out on fabric too and making dolls with them.
