I thought I'd step out of the corner and show some of my crafts. I keep a separate livejournal blog (there is no selling there, it's strictly a gallery)
innereyecreatns if you'd like to see the rest of my work. In the mean time, I thought I'd post my two favourite projects to date here because they don't appear on my craft blog (I had posted them on my personal blog and didn't want to "repeat").

I made these for a very dear friend of mine to for her wedding day, I had a week (long story, and it doesn't involve the term "shot gun"). The first is a circlet for the bride. All of its findings are sterling and some pewter. Swarovski cyrstals and sterling spacers make up the rest. I love this piece.
The Front

The Side (both sides were identical)

The filigree bars on the side are pewter.
The Back

And finally on the bride,

Next, the circlet I beaded and crocheted for her daughter as she was the flower girl. I made the band itself by cutting the top band off of an ice cream pail and then I crocheted a sleeve in white #10 thread to cover it up. The flowers I did in embroidery floss (I have tons), and I also crocheted some of the flowers on her dress (the pink ones at her waist):
The right side

and

The Left Side

The back as a whole:

And finally on the model

Later I borrowed it back from her to lend to my sister-in-law who got married this summer. Also on short notice, the shot gun wasn't there but it's presence was felt. Anyhoo! Her flower girl was just as adorable. I thought I'd add this to show how the same item can look different:

I didn't get a shot of it from the back, but the flowers peeked out from beneath all those gorgeous curls.
That's it for now, I do hope you take a peek at my craft journal where the rest of the work I've got pictures of is located. Thanks for looking!
