I've only got one more piece to make for the art show (starting on friday! Eep!), so I took on a quick commission for someone who wanted something to wear at the convention (Arisia, in case I haven't babbled about it yet). There's a picture of that and a few pictures of another art show piece under the cut.

The ribbon everything's attached to is velvet, the cabochon is hematite, and the dangly bits are garnet. She'd received the silver pentacle as a gift and wanted a nice setting for it. The cabochon, beads and pentacle were all attached to the ribbon with sterling silver wire. It came out exactly the way both of us wanted it to, which was a really nice break from the "well, it's not really what I'd intended, but I guess it looks okay" that I've been dealing with lately. I'm glad I did this when I did it.

And then there's my baby. :) Before the wings were attached:

And after the wings were attached:

This one...wow, this took ten months. I kept working on it a bit, going away, working on it some more, going away again, and it just never seemed to get anywhere closer to done until it *was* done. Sterling silver and copper wire, and the wings are pigeon feathers. I'm not sure I can actually describe how I did this, since it was such a drawn-out process. So glad it's done. I probably won't be making another one, but I'm glad I made this. :)

Edit: ack! Accidentally posted three of the same picture. Should be fixed now.
