Heavy Duty Snaps

So I bought some of those heavy duty snaps and the tools that come with it (a peice of round metal and two metal sticks) and the instructions as to how to install them didnt tell me anything. They didnt name the parts or anything, it was just "put this here and that there and do this" and im like, whoa.

So my question is, does anyone know of a tutorial online that shows how to install them? Or can anyone be really sweet and make me a quick tutorial (with pictures!). Thanks guys. You are my saviors.
