My new purse - and first project of the New Year.

Okay, so I finally finished setting up my new sewing machine, and then spent nearly 45 minutes trying to thread the darn thing, but it's working now! And I made a purse, my first purse, using some pretty silky material that I got at walmart, the rest of the brown corduroy from making my daughters pants, and some green that I had in my stash. I still need to make a closure of some kind, but I don't currently have anything suitable in the house for that.
