Emo Pincushion
Jan. 19th, 2007 07:13 pmSo, I made my sad little pincusion last night...
I got the idea from watching Uncommon Threads on the DIY network... they were making little travel-sized voodoo dolls and I thought it would be an adorable idea for a pincushion.
Instead of the total voodoo doll look, I turned him into an emo-goth-whyiseveryonealwayspickingonme-kid. My dad asked "who is it?" and I was a little too embarrassed to admit he DOES look a lot like my ex-husband... but he's no one special. really.
It's my first doll on my sewing machine so he's a little flawed, but it's expected.

He's my second attempt since my first attempt was too small (this is only about 5 inches tall)

face closeup... he's so sad.

and a nice big broken heart. It hurts to be different, don't you know.

I even painted his 'nails'.

I think I love him. Unlike my ex-husband.
