[identity profile] rhiannontherose.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Maybe after this, I'll finally get the recent BRC posts into my actual gallery LJ. This is an appease-Bryony post. (It's already posted for her, but there are probably others that will go, "Ooh, shiny!" though, so I figured it was worth posting publically. Heehee.) She was getting kida twitchy, seeing me post finished pieces belonging to people who aren't her, so I told her I'd take a photo of the leaves thus far made, which will end up used in the jewelry sets she commissioned.

A few disclamors ~

1) The sky was too overcast for sunlight today, and I had no good lighting. I also didn't have a lot of time to try getting shots, before my son woke up from his nap. There are more leaves finished, that aren't shown in this post. I ran out of time before getting to the leaves that belong in the Tri-Lobe necklace.

2) I repeat....these are by no means finished pieces. All the leaves shown will have veins oxidized darkly for more distinctly seen texture, and they will have different finishes on them. The oak leaves will have an "Autumn-wash" finish, and the "tri-lobe" type leaves will have an "Aurora" finish on them. There will also be stones, and wire, and....well, the starting-point designs that they belong to can be seen....well I can't tell you right here, anymore, because it's a link to a post in my gallery, and a mod doesn't like it. Ask me if you want the link.

Below are leaves belonging to the "Aurora Tri-Lobe Set" -- although, yes, I do realize that these particular leaf samples more accurately have 5 lobes.

The leaves which will be earrings. I didn't have any two the right size that matched better than this. If I come across a better-matching-one-of-these-two leaf sample, I'll re-make the other earring, and turn the stray into something else.

The leaves which will be part of one of the two wrist cuffs. Since I was not thinking at the time I chose the leaves for and made these....and forgot that there is to be a matching set of wrist cuffs....I now have to find leaf samples that match these in size, so that I can make the other cuff. Oops. I have one more stash of preserved leaves to go through, before that has to wait for new Spring growth.

The leaves which will be a cloak clasp.

As noted, the leaves for the necklace in this set have also already been made...I just don't have a photo yet.

Below are leaves belonging to the "Autumn Oak Set" --

The leaves which will be earrings.

The leaves which will be a cloak clasp. The tiny ones didn't come out with very good detail, but I didn't have any leaf samples the right size that were any better. Poo.

There are many, many, many more oak leaves that need to be made, for this set. But, this is it, for the moment.

I hope you feel better, Bryony! ;-)
