Mermaid

As you may have guessed, I have a bit of a 'thing' for mermaids...

well, about two weeks ago, I decided to start attempting to create one of my own.
I've been working on the details since then and finally finished her on Sunday evening.

I'd like to introduce you all to:







and though you can't see it, she's even got a gold earring that she stole from a drowning pirate. (It's one of her more prized posessions.)

I'm not terribly pleased with her face since painting isn't my strong hand, but I'm happy enough.
My daughter keeps trying to take her, but I don't want her playing with it since it's got glass and other sharp items and things she wouldn't but COULD put in her mouth, so I'm making her a 2-year-old safe version that'll be about three-times as big... that'll be in about 2 weeks.
