craftgrrl | Amy Sedaris Craft Challenge

My coworkers and I constantly watch Strangers With Candy and joke with it's disgusting humor. Yep, even I got into it. So when we found out yesterday afternoon that Amy Sedaris was having a craft challenge, I just had to enter! The challange was to put google eyes on a piece of food, take a photo, and submit it. Entries are due at noon today. Many people glued eyes to a zucchini and snapped off a couple of shots. I, of course, had to make all the food from scratch, photograph it from all angles, and then tweak the pics so they looked like gross 1970's Weight Watchers recipe cards. My boyfriend helped me come up with the name for the pigs in blankets. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world at midnight last night. Heh. hmmmm. When I entered there were less than 200 photos submitted. Now there are over 300 so I'm afraid mine will be lost in the shuffle, but I tried and I think they came out nicely. All my food is vegetarian. You can click for a larger version and there are a couple more photos in there that didn't fit into the card's square format.
