Every year I try to do some sort of craft with the kids (ages 4 and almost 2) for Valentine's Day to send to family members. This year we tried a variety of painting techniques - my son liked to call them experiments. We painted using soap bubbles, rolling around marbles/golf balls, and blowing paint with straws. I then took the various paintings and cut them into hearts and used them for our Valentine's Day cards. So all of us contributed to the card. We also created some bookmarks.
Here is a shot with all 10 cards we made.

Here are some close-ups of the fronts of the cards. I'm just so happy that I figured out something that the almost 2 year old could contribute to with her short attention span (and still have fun crafting).

We also made bookmarks to put in the cards to give as gifts to family members. Each child made 10 for a total of 20 (over the course of a couple of weeks). Nothing overly special but they look really cute laminated. I think the family will get a kick out of them.

I love crafting with my kids. I am finally able to do more with my littlest one and I am finding things I can do with both ages at the same time. My oldest and I have been crafting longer. He can do so much more but my littlest always wants to do what he's doing (even if she isn't quite ready yet). :) So it is nice finding something they can do at the same time.
Thanks for looking.
