punky-craft images & craft parties?
Feb. 20th, 2007 09:13 amSo after trying to plan an event for the last month I am getting things on the roll. I am holding a craft-party or a craft-a-thon. I want people to network and share ideas and stuff. I have a month to make my plans. It will be held at a local 'hip' coffee house with indoor and outdoor setting. I am looking towards a crowed of 50-100! I am hoping people will bring there on projects, that is my main goal...for people to hang out and see what others are doing. I am afraid some people might not get this concept. While i don't have the money to buy extra supplies I thought I might copy some craft how-tos and leave them around so people can get ideas for the next event.
Has anyone ever held an event like this? If so are there any tricks/tips? I have local business and paper support...I am looking to host to a more 'alt' crowed. I know there are more clubs and cirles out in my town (modesto,ca) but for older folk who might not like the fact I have two tone hair and a dozen tattoos...
My last question is there any online sources for punk-y/rock clip art I can use for my flyers? I am thinking of doing the flyers cut n paste old school zine style...
If anyone is in Modesto or the area (ceres, keys, turlock...) hit me up! :)
