bootylicious
Feb. 27th, 2003 05:32 pmi knitted these slipper-booties today. they're comfy and don't take long to make.
materials: yarn (one ball), two size 10 knitting needles, one yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape or ruler
what to do:
:: cast on 36 sticthes and knit-stich until you have approximately tencm
:: bind off the first four stiches and knit the other 32
:: bind off the first four stickhes in the next row, and knit the other twenty eight
:: knit stich the 28 for another 5cm or so.
:: rib stich 10 rows: knit 1, purl 1.
:: leave about 30cm and cut the yarn, thread it through the yarn needle and then through all the loops as you remove them from the needle. pull tight and knot it - this is the toe!!
:: using the yarn and needle, sew up the top of the slipper
:: cut another piece of yarn (30cm should be more than enough) and sew up the back of the slipper.
:: make one more
:: dance
