massive pictures/questions post!
Mar. 4th, 2007 02:08 amI think I'll do questions first, pictures second. My questions are in no way related to each other.
1. I was watching American Idol last week, and one of the girls had the cutest wrap-tunic-top. Anyone know of a pattern (or tutorial) I could use to make a similar one? I looked on some pattern websites but all I found were spaghetti-strap ones, and I need something more similar to the one in the picture so I can actually wear a bra under it.

2. This is more curiousity than anything, but I was talking to my roommate the other night and she was asking why it's okay to buy fabric with a design on it (someone else's design, like any printed fabric that people buy) and make something out it and sell it. Why IS that okay? It is, right? I think I know that you can't make stuff out of licensed prints like spiderman or batman and then sell it, but I'm talking about everything else.
In a post I made last night, I mentioned that I had some shelves made out of cardboard and someone asked for a picture.

Here you can see that I covered them in contact paper to make them look like wicker.

Here is the crazy cupboard that I garbage-picked last night and posted about already. This is the before picture.

This is a bag I made out of a pair of jeans, that I embroidered the album artwork from The Academy Is... Almost Here on. I wore them out to the point of risking inappropriate rips so I made them into a bag!

I made sushi for the first time tonight!! I was excited about it. I think of it as a way to combine cooking with crafting! It's vegetarian and has cucumber, avocado and carrots.

Pinup-girl appliqued bag! I loooove this one.

This button does nothing, I just really really wanted to put buttons on the sides.
