Springtime jewelry
Mar. 5th, 2007 08:05 pmI've been working really hard on my jewelry lately. Though I've studied many forms of art, and even gotten really into some of them, I feel that jewelry-making is what I'm best at. I also enjoy the fact that it's art you can wear, that when you make jewelry someone is wearing it out in their world, in their life, not just hanging it above their couch.
I've made dozens of things lately; I can't show them all, of course, so here are a couple I'm really proud of:
The "Queen of Hearts" bracelet (yes, I have to name everything)....as many hearts per square inch as possible in one bracelet:

"A Drop of Green" Earrings

"The Northern Shore" Necklace...I have a photograph of my grandmother beaming and standing beside Lake Superior in northern Minnesota, and for some reason it inspired me to make this necklace:

As always, I love to hear feedback...if something sucks, I like to know, and if something is fine but could be much better with a small adjustment, I love knowing that too!
