Community of Faith United Methodist Church is sponsoring its annual Spring Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 10am to 3pm. We invite you to participate in this exciting annual event, which draws members of the church, Beginning Bridges pre-school, and nearby community.
It will be held in the sanctuary of the church and we have the capacity for 15-20 artists and crafters. The cost of each space (approximately 6’x7’– each participant will have enough space to show their work – maybe more depending on the number of participants there are) is $50, to go to a mission you select from our list, and this includes rental of a table and chairs as needed. There are a limited number of electrical outlets, which will be first come first serve (please make a note in your application). Please, no commercial sales, such as Tupperware, non-handmade jewelry, Beanie Babies, etc.
Set up time is 8am to 10am. No major setup shall occur after the show starts. Take down time is from 3pm to 4pm. Artists and crafters are responsible for collecting their own sales tax, obtaining business licenses as needed, and obtaining trademark licenses as needed. COFUMC will not be held responsible for damage, theft, or loss of your work or possessions.
If you are interested in being part of our Arts and Crafts Fair, please complete the application and return it with your payment as soon as possible. MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO COMMUNITY OF FAITH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, with missions in the memo. The cancellation date is April 14, 2007; cancellations received after that date will not be refunded. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first serve basis.

1. Christian School in India – Your donation will go towards putting a roof on their school, buying supplies, and a teacher’s very humble salary of $300/yr.
2. Mattaponi Healing Eagle Clinic (East of Richmond, Virginia) – Your donation will assist the clinic in providing health care services on the Mattaponi Indian Reservation, one of the oldest reservations in the country.
3. Petersburg Urban Ministries (Petersburg, Virginia) – Your donation will go towards PUM’s many programs to revitalize the Petersburg community, including helping children earn their GED, rebuilding homes, and much more.
4. Rising Hope (Alexandria, Virginia) – Your donation will help assist an ethnically, racially, and culturally diverse mission and congregation that serves all of the people living on the Route 1 Corridor in Alexandria.
5. Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (Fairfax, Virginia) – Your donation will assist WFCM in providing emergency financial assistance and in-kind assistance (food, clothing, and household goods) to families and individuals in need.
