I was looking at this tutorial, and I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can somehow make the spine of the book thinner. I'm working on a project for my Drawing class, and I have a book that would work really well for it, but my project is way too thin for the cover. Any suggestions? If it's completely impossible to make the spine thinner, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to do bookbinding on cardstock, especially any tips on how to sew it together.

I'd really appreciate any help.
