Finally, my FO!
Mar. 24th, 2007 12:29 pmThis is kind of a funny story:
I started knitting this afghan for my brother and his wife for Christmas '05. But, the catch was, that I never finished it!!! So now, over a year later, I'm SOOO happy that it's all done! This is my first afghan. I found the pattern online, used 'Chenille Thick and Quick' yarn from Lion Brand.
When the afghan was 'finished' (according to the pattern's standards) all of the edges were wavy and uneven. I wasn't too happy about that. So I decided to add a border.... ugggh. That only took hours upon hours... but I think it turned out so much better.
Here is a picture of the blanket as a whole, then a close up of the hand-sewn border/edges. I hope you enjoy!! I just can't wait to give them their LONG-awaited gift. Just in time for the warm spring weather! Haha.
