I had a few extra yards on this really cute pastry fabric laying around... so I decided to make a dress with it. I was making it to wear for Easter, but the weather has decided to be VERY unspring like.. so hopefully it wont be too cold. I got a cute red cardigan to wear with it just in case tho!
I used mickncrispy's Shirred tube top tute to make the dress. It's just a big huge rectangle of fabric (well two big rectangles b/c I added lining). The pleats in the front are from an oops.. I miscalculated the stretchyness of the elastic and made it too big, so I added darts in the fron to take in the extra fabric.. and this created the pleats. The belt is from a project on Simplicity's website.
All in all the whole outfit took about 4-5 hours to make (lol stretched over 4 days because I kept procrastinating :P)
