craftgrrlsoo...thanks to all of your wonderful advice, i went ahead and skinnied the hell out of my once not-so-skinny jeans.
a few hours, a bent needle, and a roll of dental floss later, and i'm quite happy with the results.
[i sewed all the way from the crotch to the bottom, because they were a bit loose in the thigh area, and the crotch was a bit long for my taste. i haven't cut any of the excess fabric off yet. i figure i'll wait a few weeks until i'm near a sewing machine before doing any permanent damage.]
and this is a shirt i made over the summer, that i adore and wear to death. i have another one that i made that is the same shirt, but with stars! these shirts make me wish it were summer even more than i already do.
