I really haven't posted in here forever. I had to pretty much give up handsewing because of my tendonitis so I have been a useless work drone these days. But yesterday I made a shadowbox dedicated to out older rat Mayonnaise who died a few weeks ago. We were pretty torn up about it but I think making this helps.
He was such a wonderful creature, and taught me so much about myself. :)

Basically, I just bought an ugly silver shadowbox from Michaels and painted it with bronze acrylic. Then sealed with 2 layers of acrylic sealer. Everything is held into place with fabric glue. I use this stuff for EVERYTHING. It seriously holds better than anything ever. The only bad thing is, its eating away at the ink in the photo [duh] so I am going to put a new photo in there and hand sew it on to the fabric when I have a day off.
