Any teachers out there?

My friend is graduating next week. She teaches elementary, and I know a lot of supplies come out of pocket. I was thinking of making her a tote with some kid craft items. Is that stupid? Any ideas on what to put in there? I was thinking some fancy hole punches and scissors, and pipe cleaners, but am really pretty clueless. Don't remember much from kid crafting other than the paste some kids liked to eat :)
