How to decorate your barrette with ribbon and without glue. I really enjoyed making this tute - I hope it's helpful!

Step 1:
Make sure you have a piece of ribbon at least 6 times the length of the clip. Also make sure that the width is not too thick or thin (I'm using 10mm).

Step 2:
Thread ribbon under the clip and make sure it's under the little metal "tongue" bit.

Step 3:
Wind the ribbon over that little bit peeking out, I suggest that you leave more rather than less. Wind the ribbon round and round the top of the clip tightly. *yawn*

Step 4:
You're at the end of the clip! Don't be afraid to wrap the ribbon a few extra times if the silver is showing.

Step 5:
Avoid the clasp and wind it round the top.

Step 6:

See that loop up there? We don't want it, so we tuck it under the back of the ribbon.

Step 7:

As so. Again, don't be afraid to wind the ribbon up the top a few times just to tighten everything.

Step 8:

Wrap the ribbon back down the clip, going in the opposite direction. This time, every time you make a loop, give it a bit of a twist for a pattern on the top.

Step 9:

This is what it will look like now!

Step 10:

Wrap it up and around. At this point you could probably snip off the rest of the ribbon and tuck and glue the end somewhere. But if you're lazy like me...

Step 11:

How to finish it without glue? Remember that last twist pattern you did? Tuck the ribbon under there and now you have a knot.

Step 12:

Tie a little bowtie at the end. Awwww. You can use the same method with two colours!
