I does not do cross stitch

So I don't know what I was thinking, other than, "hey that matches my bathroom stuff". I started trying to follow the directions, but then I just got impatient and took to it with the sewing machine, some beads and vellum. I'm happy with how the flowers look, but I need to do something more for the blades of grass. Any ideas? They are bordered with varigated green machine stitching. DO I need to do anything more?
