window frame

i thought you all might enjoy this project.

i found this window that someone was throwing away, wiped it down and cleaned the glass. then i took a bunch of paper momentos, photos, drawings, etc that were cluttering my wall and taped them to a measured out square piece of mattboard (size of window opening). i thumbtacked the mattboard to the wall and then hung the frame over it - using thumbtacks, also, which is probably not the best way to hang heavy objects.

it really helped my room feel less hectic and it will be easy for me to move all those little momentos without having to pull them off the wall and pack them up individually.
