Father's Day
Jun. 14th, 2007 08:48 pmI made this little thing last night for my stepdad. He divorced my mom when I was a kid, but he's always been like a dad to me. So I always try to make his Father's Day presents special. He loves to fish and the bear is his Indian guide. I scanned a couple of old pics of us fishing and him pushing me on a swing and printed out on glossy photo paper. Made the bear, log and fish with Sculpey III clay. Bought the wood circle stand and the little bucket at Michaels' And bent some craft wire for the pic holder and fishing line. The little fishing pole is just a toothpick I filed round. And I painted the circle with acrylic to look like grass and water. Not too bad for just a few hours of work. I think he'll like it a lot.
One question though.... do I leave as-is? Or do I write Happy Father's Day on the front of the circle??
