Comic book purse
Jun. 17th, 2007 06:45 pmI found an awesome vintage Spanish horror comic for a quarter recently and decided to make a purse out of it. It's not perfect but I'm proud of it anyway!

Basically I just laminated the pages of the comic book with packing tape and then taped the whole thing together into a box shape. Then I added a 2" D-ring to each side and sewed on a strap. There's velcro on the inside to keep the top shut. It wasn't particularly hard but it took a good 6 hours, mainly because laminating each piece with tape was incredibly time consuming. The tape is coming off in certain spots but I figure I can just redo it as it comes off. Total cost--$10.
