New crochet challenge on craftster.org
Jun. 19th, 2007 03:23 pmThere aren't many entries for the current crochet challenge on craftster.org and I figured some of you might be interested! It's similar to another crochet challenge I posted here. It's eco crochet.
Anything submitted under this theme must meet one of the following conditions:
- made from 'earth friendly' objects or materials, such as organic, recycled, or unbleached materials. Peaches n cream, sugar n cream, and lion brand yarns would not fall under this category.
- made from free trade materials
- made from found objects
- made to reduce waste, such as a crocheted market bag or tampon.
The object can be anything you with, as long as it is either made out of earth friendly materials or helps to reduce waste in every day life. The central item MUST be crocheted, but you can have accents in other materials (beads, craft felt, crayons?). If these accent materials are recycled, even better!
See this thread for the prize you could win. If you're not a craftster member, it doesn't matter! Almost all of the past crochet challenge winners have been new members. See http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=176117.0
