Stuffed doggie
Jun. 21st, 2007 02:55 amA little while ago I asked you all for suggestions for alternative stuffing material for my first stuffed animal I was making. There were lots of great ideas and I went with the suggestion of cottonballs. I finally finished the thing tonight.

I started with the pattern from here: http://allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts/2006/05/softie_scotty_d.html
and altered it to look more likea terrier type* a yorkie type dog.
I first tried stuffing it with rice, but it wasn't stiff enough to get the look I wanted. Stuffing with cottonballs is not easy. The cotton fibers get everywhere and they stick to everything. Also, it is lumpy. But I had them on hand and I think he turned out great.
* Thank you, frankcheez, for catching this!
