Recycled bags - newbie alert
Jul. 8th, 2007 08:39 pmI was pointed to this community by a friend, so, uh - hi. I'm in a crafty mood at the moment, so I picked up a few things at a secondhand clothing store and then had some fun:
First bag started with this:

I gave it to my sister for her b-day.

What can you say about a summer dress with a pattern of upside-down beach tents and faceless lifeguards?

I switched it around so that the pattern is right-side-up.

The handle-rings came from Fabricville. I think they're meant to hang drapes or some such, but they were about $2 for a pack of 10, and they work just fine.

The insides of both bags are plain cloth, each with one zippered pocket. I've got some of the second fabric left and I'm thinking of trying to get a change purse or a clutch purse out of it.
