I finally completed my Harry Potter/Deathly Hallows care packages. I made fabric book covers for the new book.

I found the most incredibly luxurious moleskin in a deep, dark red (much deeper than the photos show), I'm so in love with this fabric. It's thick and soft and fabulous. The shimmery gold completes the Gryffindor color scheme. I wish I would have ordered patches to add to them, but alas, I didn't, but hopefully these can be used for more than just the HP books.

I lined the inside with the gold as well, though it probably wasn't necessary.

I added sewn-in bookthongs, which make the others I made a bit unnecessary, but you can never have enough when you're an avid reader, right?

I love the handles, makes it so convenient to just grab and go!

I used Goblet of Fire for a template, and then measured the 50-odd pages and added that to the length.

Everything (book cover, t-shirts, bookthongs, map, stationery, socks, recipe cards, magnetic spells) got mailed out this morning!
