Ribbon Pencils
Jul. 15th, 2007 10:15 pmWondering if anyone can give me some input on this...
Have you ever seen those fancy decorated pencils that are wrapped in ribbon? I'm trying to make some. I just took my regular pencil, spread glue all over it, then took my ribbon and applied it in a spiral fashion. Now, how would one go about sharpening this? I don't think a regular sharpener would work, and an electric one would get jammed. The only one I could see sharpening it is one of those old classroom pencil sharpeners. Do you think it would help if I coated the ribbon pencil in decoupage medium to give it a seal/laminate? Do you think this would help when one would go to sharpen it?
TIA
