Do you know how to clean brass? I did a search on yahoo and I saw that you can use vinegar to clean brass. But I was wondering if anyone has ever used it, how well does it actually clean it.

I have some heavily tarnished dresser handles that I am trying to clean. I used a metal polish called Mothers but it is very labor intensive and doesn't get it completely clean. Any suggestions?
