Suggestions?
Jul. 16th, 2007 02:55 pmI bought both of these pieces at a flea market, and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. They were both on leather cord when I bought them (strung with some hideous beads, I might add). I don't work with leather, and I'm not too fond of the way pieces look just hanging on silk cord. I'm looking for something a little more creative, so I thought I'd turn to the most creative ladies I could think of.

The man told me this is an English peace symbol. I don't know if there's any truth to it, but I think it looks neat. It's pretty heavy, about 2.5" long, and it appears to be some kind of base metal. There's no silver mark on it, and I know it's not gold. The wonky spot towards the top is a hinge -- it bends both ways.

This one's about the same length but a bit lighter. Sorry it's fuzzy -- I was in a hurry this morning. Anyway, it's an old lire piece from Italy. Hanging from it are other coins and beads from wire. It looks better in person, though it is decidedly trashy chic.
So, talented ladies, any ideas on what I should do with these? I bought them to make jewelry, but I'd be happy to hear other suggestions. I'm open to pretty much anything.
Thanks so much!
Edit: Sorry, my pictures got mixed up. Should be fixed now.
