Jul. 16th, 2007 04:36 pmI've just retruned from vacationing in Gulf Shores, AL. I found lots of shells on the beach that already have holes in them in exactly the right spot (jewelry wise, that is!) - how does that happen? Anyway, I made a birthday gift for my sister using some of them. The reddish beads are spiny oyster (I bought those on while on my trip). Since the shells already had decent sized holes, I was able to attatch them to the chain with jump rings.

FYI, the bead store in Gulf Shores is called Blue Girl Beading Co. It's worth a visit if you're in the area :)
