[identity profile] spite-the-world.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I'm building a sculpture in my living room whose body is a human form. Unfortunately, the one sculpture class I've ever taken had an egotistical piece of shit for a teacher who had us females clean the studio while the boys got help (but we still had to turn in our projects on time), so I don't know too much about technique...

I want to build an armature. I was thinking about using just newspaper and masking tape, but I want the sculpture's arms and feet to be resin casts of molds of my forearms+hands and feet. Would I have to hollow the resin out? Should I use wire for the armature? I really don't know where to begin....

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of the project just yet. I promise I'll post tons when I get working and get finished. Thanks in advance for any help.
