We'll start off light....
I purchased some antique hand batiked fabric a while ago, but when I went to use it I noticed it had many holes in it and the black batiking was quite faded.......
so I dyed it fushia and turned it into a half circle wrap skirt (only half circle because I needed to get very creative with cutting out the fabric to dodge all those little holes)
The front:

The fabric was originally white with black designs and little yellow trails left between the designs from the original dying process. Which was why I dyed it fushia so that the trails remained, they turned out a tangerine orange.

With the waist ties in the back. This design was based off the traditional Mexican circle wrap skirts that I already have a collection of. I even tried my hand at adding side pockets in the front (which ended being too small since I was really really cutting it close on the fabric)
In the end a cute summery cotton skirt....
Next:
two different gauzes (one started out offwhite, the other a tan, meant to be turned into chemises) and a cotton blend slip that was getting too small. All dyed with plain old black. Same batch of dye....
Turned into this:

The cuffs are using the bottom ruffle from the slip, and the front of the blouse is also lined in the slip's body to make it opaque while being worn. This was a very efficient blouse to make since all the little scrappy bits went into the decorative hems. The cuffs and around the shoulders of the neckline have elastic. I added the ribbon bow on the front to allow for more or less cleavage depending on how I wear it (off or on the shoulders)

The base for this pattern was more or less one of those rennie style 'peasant blouses' that I had already remodeled once in the past.
Worn with my lambskin leather underbust corset. With straight steel and coil spring boning throughout. Huge cameo belt buckle in the front, with decorative 'belt' with hand painted designs.
The leather was cannibalized from this:

Which I inherited, and was too big on me or my man, and I tried unsuccessfully to resell twice. Being the type not to waste such good leather, I figured a corset was the next best re-use.

This is all for now.
