Hello ladies and gents, I have a question for those of you who do fiber needle felting.

What do the different needle gradings mean?

Star vs triangle needle, is it the shape for the needle or just a manufacturer brand and inconsequential?

Also the sizings, is a 36 smaller or larger than a 38? Does 'coarse' mean it's got more teeth?

I'm looking for needles to root doll hair specifically and I already asked one Ebay seller who simply told me 'sorry I just use these to dry felt. I can't help you.'

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated since my searches online have been similarly un useful in my questions.

I'll post pictures when I'm done (not telling what the project is. It's a surprise!)!
