Need sewing help

So I found this pattern for a really cute sumo wrestler doll, and I thought it'd be nice to make for my boyfriend as part of a care package I'm putting together for him.

Only problem is - I didn't inherit my mom's mad sewing skills.

I get the basic idea of it, after putting in some serious contemplation, the only problem I have is that I have no idea what those stitch names mean D:

I googled them and I couldn't find some of the names that they had - which makes me think that they were kind of smushing together sewing terms that a person who can actually sew would understand. Ergo - I have no idea what they're talking about and google isn't helping much.

If someone could maybe look at these instructions and tell me what the stitch names mean and maybe direct me towards some instructions for doing them, I'd really appreciate it!
