printing on fabric without a screen
Jul. 31st, 2007 04:46 pmI've been having trouble locating the fabric prints that I want and am interested in doing something fairly simple in technique that will have quick results and won't take lots of practice or skill...also known as I don't want to learn how to screen print or have to use stencils. So I was wondering what supplies you recommend to say make my own stamps? I was thinking layering up the foam you can buy in sheets to a decent thickness like you can find in foam stamps, cutting a fairly basic design out of it with not alot of detail and adhereing foam thing to a piece of wood. I know about using fabric paint and all the good stuff. I was just wondering if anyone knew if my method is a good way to go or if there is something better. Also I don't cook meat that often so I don't have those meat tray things, though I've heard they could work too. I'm looking for something easy to make and that will take a design easily and transfer it onto fabric well.
