After doing a dozen pairs of Fetching (I'm exaggerating, but not by much!), I finally got around to making Dashing! It was pretty cute, actually--I was working on a pair of Fetching for myself while my family was visiting, and my 17-year-old brother asked if there was a "boy" pattern for things like that, so I made him Dashing on the sly and mailed them to him last week.

Maybe not crafty, but this chair used to have a seat and back made out of hideous, moldy, yellow vinyl. I was a little scared of trying to feed canvas through my sewing machine, but it was much easier than I thought it would be! And the chair looks a million times better, I think.

I made this bag for a friend's birthday/going-away present. The pattern is from here, but I modified it a bit to be much smaller, as said friend is new to the purse-carrying world and only carries tiny ones so far.

A shot of the inside, sort of. It's lined with this gorgeous batik I tricked my friend into picking out. And although I've been sewing off and on since I was about 10, this is the first zipper I've ever sewn by myself!

One more shot to show the cable detail.
I'm making a much larger version of this purse for myself in some gorgeous purple Lion Suede (my dad randomly bought it for me one day because he thought I'd like it and my mom had dragged him into a craft store! How cute is that?!?). I'm also working on a crocheted Babette Blanket from Interweave Crochet, plus a scarf out of some Manos de Uruguay that a friend gave me for my birthday. After that I'm planning on doing a Twiggy Tweed bag out of some bright green wool with Sari silk for the "ribbon" running through it, and maybe a Le Slouch beret if I can find yarn that I want for it. How many projects do you usually have going on at a time?
