harry potter craft swap
Aug. 11th, 2007 06:41 pmThis is a bunch of Harry Potter-themed crafts I did for a swap on Craftster. I had a lot of fun making these, and my partner seemed to like them, so I thought I'd post them here. :D

S.P.E.W badge. Who doesn't love some house elf rights? It has a pin on the back.

Weasley is our King badge! I think everyone who likes Harry Potter and does crafts must make one of these at some point in their lives. This was my first time working with clay, and it didn't come out too terrible, I don't think. Not as awesome as I imagined in my head, but oh well. It's crown-shaped. LOL.

Deathly Hallows bookmark, to be used while reading the final book! My partner liked quidditch, so I made a snitch theme. There are six pages to the little booklet/bookmark, with places to write page numbers of favorite quotes and scenes, and also some blank pages to write general notes, thoughts, etc.

More snitch-ness, a pair of snitch earrings. I was inspired by a post somewhere else on Craftster, but I don't remember where I saw it/who made the first pair.

Snape Is Evil/Trust Snape necklace. Since we did this swap before Deathly Hallows came out, nobody yet knew Snape's ultimate character. I made this necklace with two marble pendants, so my partner could wear one or the other (or both if she wanted!) because she couldn't decide if she thought Snape was a good guy or if he was a bad guy. ;D

A set of four simple coasters. This one features the whomping willow.

Sorting hat.

Potion.

Hermione brandishing her wand.

Gryffindor themed photo frame, with some printed quotes from the book and the Hogwarts crest. I included a photo of my family in there. lol. ;)

And a Hermione booklet.

Most of the images I drew or traced myself in Paint Shop Pro, but the snitch and sorting hat images were from this Harry Potter dingbat font, in case anyone was wondering.
