Cuff Bracelets and Cross Stitch
Aug. 27th, 2007 11:21 amMy BFF's birthday was Friday and I'm broke, so I made him some stuff.
He's really into the vintage style and homemade stuff, so it was right up my alley to make him some of my bracelets.

this bracelet is untitled (I told him to title it and get back to me)

"caught in your net"

"Fish in the sea"

"Wearing my mended heart on my sleeve"
(this one has a pearly button that was part of one of my daughter's shirts... he's also my daughter's godfather, so it was an added touch for this one.)
All the rough edges of the bracelets were coated in Fray Check so they'd have that handmade look that he and I love so much, but they'll stay together. Rock!
I also found a pattern on Subversive crossstitch but I'm broke, so I stole it offline (bad, I know) and modified it a little (to cover the fact I screwed it up). Hopefully he'll love it. He's pretty proud of his homo status, so ya know... maybe it'll go in the entryway of his Chi-town home.

Oh. And there's one more bracelet. I was making it for Nic (the one who all this other stuff is for) but I was using my husband as an arm model (since I have girl wrists) and I loved it so much on him that I made him keep it. They share a birthday, so it was still a birthday present... I just bought the rest of HIS stuff.

"Munchie"
don't worry, he doesn't eat much.
What do you think?
