craftgrrl | For the jewelry makers

I've never made a piece of jewelry in my life but I'm intrigued by the things I see being made, the sets that I'd love to own but can't spare the $30+ for.

I have a Fire Mountain Gems catalog, just came in the mail yesterday and I'm wanting Kaytlyn (9) to learn how to make pretty things too.

What tools do I need? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg but I also don't want to skimp on something helpful. I have the general chains, beads and little o-rings that you need in mind in the catalog but aren't there other things I need?
