I have been a busy girl. Since I started working at Joann's, I am CONSUMED with pretty fabrics! Seeing that I love bags and pretty fabrics, I thought I would make a few. I think I could make purses all day, every day, if I could have my way.
This is just a prototype of an idea I have. The plaid is my kitchen curtains and the cream is just some plain, nubby canvas. All plaid.

Look at me now! Notice anything different?

Canvas bag, plaid flap
Changing, changing!

Plaid bag, canvas flap

All canvas, plaid on the inside
How its done

The entire bag is reversable and the flap comes off to flip it around.
It is, at least, 6 bags in one! And I made it all up with out a pattern! Doncha just love when that happens?
These bags are made from 3 quarter flats/fat quarters. I used the Lazy girl pattern for the Sassy bag. All three of the fabrics show when the bag is completed and it is a good way to combine prints you like. This bag is smallish but has a pleated pouch and holds quite a bit. It has one large main pocket, two sewn in pockets on the inside and one pocket on the outside. I think I could even change the flap to add another pocket there, I just haven't tried it, yet.
Red Floral flap and cream and black skeleton leaf print.

Action shot

I only used 2 fabrics on this bag. I really liked the b&w fabric!
Celery green with a tone on tone print, tree print and some sort of swirly, painty looking print

The back. You can see the pocket here.

Inside of the green bag

I think I could make one for every day of the week!
I also made some pillows for my friend Mare, who just moved into her first apartment! Not too crafty, but still good stuff!

I have more of this fabric, I think it might just be enough for another Sassy bag!
And just because...
My cutie Puggins, also known as The Boss!
