this is really a response to

madfishmonger's post from a few days ago.......but i thought i should make a new post since so many of her comments were from other people wanting to know the same thing.

and yes, you can machine stitch sticky backed vecro!

it just takes a bit of patience but it did not ruin the machine. i just kept some cotton balls and rubbing alcohol near to wipe off the needle and my fingers every so often. i stitched with a very slow pace and everything was fine. it's not something i'd do all the time, but if sticky back is all you have you can definitely use it for a project.

fwiw- i didn't just do a piece of it, i did yards and yards and yards of it as elastic straps for extremely heavy egyptian wigs. my boss had accidentally bought sticky back and we couldn't exchange it.

since you guys love photos, here is one of the smaller frames wigs we built. the straps are underneath it and manage a lot of the shape. we built like 130 of these things in about 3 weeks. truly insane.
