I've been sewing up a storm for the wonderful artshows we have been invited to participate in this summer, but I think my favorite show we've had the privilege to create is "Fort" that opened this weekend at the Anne Bonny here in Seattle.

We set up the beautiful gallery-loft of the Anne Bonny to look like a real living-space...

Bean Bears charging from their fortress of plush stumps and yarn moss at the foot of the bed. The yarn moss rug is made with mixed colors of green pom-poms, and was a much bigger pain in the neck than expected ...

"Burn, Pillage, and Beyond" sheet set with viking theme. I have a great, new found respect for printed sheet designers, as this was quite possibly the most nerve-wracking printing project we have ever done. I believe we held our breath for the entire hour it took to print the sheets ...

His and Hers pillow cases, though I suppose if you were a Viking and Valkyrie, you tend to just club each other if someone hogs the blankets or pillows.

There's always someone up and leaving the light on for you...

We also designed and printed our show flyers so that they could be torn off telephone poles and made into paper hats (Disclaimer: No Plastic-Poodles-on-Wheels were actually humiliated in the making of this artshow) ...

Alas, there are so many more parts of this show I neglected to photograph myself, as I am terrible at taking pictures. Eventually everything will be (more professionally) photographed, including all of the awesome paintings by my fellow cohorts Tom Eykemans, Chris Smith, and Demian Johnston.

A little linky for The Anne Bonny. It is a beautiful space that we were so flattered to be asked to create a show in. Downstairs is a beautiful shop filled with vintage kitschy treasures collected by the charming and bushy-bearded Spencer -- one of my favorite places in Seattle -- not just because of our show there (we're not worthy! we're not worthy!). A definite to-do if you are visiting Seattle.

After my Plush You entries are in this Saturday, its back to playing Lego Star Wars II on DS, watching Fresh Prince reruns, and eating toast all morning for me!

Thanks for looking, if you made it thus far!

Popsicles for all, bedtime for none!
